More snow...

Blizzard hit last night. Power went out, not for too long though. About 3 inches fell and the plows are cleaning roads presently.  Sun is shining on the fresh white. 

Some of the seedlings have buds. Pumpkin buds are shown here just forming. 

A summer word picture follows

Out in the sun the Goldfinch flits
Along the thistle-tops, flits and twits
Above the hollow wood
Where birds swim like fish-
Fish that laugh and shriek-
To and fro, far below
In the pale hollow wood.
