A Pair

These two were sitting on the fence this morning and I noticed a distinct difference between the two.  I presume it's the male on the left in the brightly coloured plumage.

It's our wedding anniversary today (56 years) so we've been out for lunch, and two tables away was our ex-daughter-in-law and her partner.  

The mincemeat, which was intended for tarts over the Christmas period never got used so JJ used it all in a tart a couple of days ago and we are now enjoying it with the Brandy butter with the best before date of 4th January.  It's fine....... honestly.
