Stanbrook Abbey

We went for a little ride out this afternoon and spotted this impressive looking church steeple along the way. So we investigated and discovered the Stanbrook Abbey Hotel. I'm not sure if the building next to the hotel is used as a church or is part of the hotel, though it has a history of 150 years as a Benidictine Monastery.

In front of the hotel is a large field with some very interesting sheep, I've put a pic of one of the lambs in the extras.

The pictures were taken from the car as we drove down their drive and out again.

We then headed to St Peter's Garden Centre where we had coffee and bought a couple of pot plants for the patio.

In other news: it didn't rain today, though it was a bit chilly.
