Palm Sunday

At last some sunshine! I briefly joined the procession part of Palm Sunday at my local parish church then walked into Oxford by a circuitous route that took in part of the Thames Path (here passing the Longbridges Nature Park) and the South and West Gates of the medieval walled town. St Michael’s at the Southgate, the church that was at the South Gate, has been replaced by Christ Church Cathedral and the Westgate has long been a shopping centre and car park. However, St Michael’s at the Northgate still exists and there is also an Eastgate Hotel.
