Skaill bay

Just a beautiful day on the west mainland of Orkney. This is the view north as we walked out to see the archaeological site at Scara Brae. From the timeline along the footpath to the site itself and the reconstruction to the display of finds inside the exhibition centre we were bowled over.. just amazing and a privilege to have seen it.
The sun shone for a lot of the day and we wandered through Stromness finding a sunny spot to enjoy an ice cream. A proper holiday!
