Stonehaven
Woke just before 8 feeling well refreshed and took Phin for a 40 minute walk along the Dava way https://davaway.org.uk/ which runs along the back of the caravan park. Gently sloping with lovely ancient forest bordering it, trust Phin to find a very buggy patch of ground and dive in feet first.
Breakfast of kings with a roll filled with square sausage and a tattie scone before a quick shower and time to pack up and head to Stonehaven.
East enough drive once the Satnav finally stopped trying to take us the scenic route through Tomintouol.
We got set up and Phin had a romp in the surf on the beach and we were ready for our visitors. Mr PHL’s middle brother, his wife and Mr PHL’s sister. They reminisced about summers spent in this very caravan park when they would be camped out her for 6 weeks with their wee brother and mum whilst dad stayed at home in Aberdeen to work right and visit on weekends.
After a cup of coffee we walked along the front to the old harbour and wandered back through the town centre.
We all jet up again at 7.30 for dinner in Borsalino’s a lovely Italian restaurant which was dog friendly. My red wine risotto with chicken and Italian sausage was absolutely delicious.
Apologies for Marlieske for posting this on Monday morning but I did take the shot on my walk on Sunday morning so I’m hoping that counts! Thank you for hosting.
