News at lunch time - Today marks the 50th anniversary of the first call by a handheld portable phone. It is reported that there are more mobile phones than people in uk. Marty Cooper, an engineer for Motorola and made the first cell phone call on a street corner in New York!

First day of retirement - didn’t go to plan. I had told myself I was going to carry on getting up at the same time to keep routine. Alarm went off at 6:30am ……. ended up getting out of bed at 8:30! However productive with domestic tasks and working on the Easter crafts.
