New Brighton surfer

I've been to Christchurch plenty of times but I've never actually spent any time on he coast here so New Brighton beach and pier became my focus for an hour or two of wandering and watching.  There were a few surfers braving the chilling waters and I was pleased to be well away from the water to enjoy my past-time.  This chap even managed to finish his surfing then race up to and along the pier to ask me if I'd be willing to share some of my images with him!  He was such a polite and young man so how could I possibly deny such a request?!  Hopefully he'll like one or two of them and will share some others of his surfing buddies  with them too.
