Scarifying

A rare view of our front garden after having lunch. 
We used to mow the grass on a weekly basis with the idea of having a beautiful lawn, but it’s never worked thanks to moss. The brown bin is completely full of it. We scarified it last October too so moss grows very well here.
Now we have adopted #nomowmay, and #letitbloomjune and hope wild flowers will take hold. Cutting and scarifying the grass is a part of making this a possibility, so I am reliably informed by the Head Gardener.
