Grey Heron

There was a police incident at the loch today. The bottom end of the loch and park were taped off and there were two police cars around. I made my way to the top entrance and it was open. I walked down the slope not sure what to expect. Before I reached the bottom there were 3 heron flew over to the grass to meet me. The very young heron (who I have not seen in ages), the young male and the young female were there. The shot is the young female. There were plenty of crows but some were wating at the other side of the incident tape. Most got a feed. I then made my way home.
It turns out that there was a hit and run in the park last night and a 21 year old was taken to hospital. Very strange as no vehicles are allowed in the park!
