Ferry

I watched the ferry approaching Caleta Gonzalo before it docked and the vehicles rolled off. We can’t continue northwards on the Carretera Austral road without catching a couple of ferries. This one here will take us the first 45 minute journey across the Reñihue Fjord.  We then disembark in our camper van and drive about 10 kms on a gravel road to the next port at Leptepu where we pick up another ferry. This stretch of the journey is about 3-4 hours across the Canao Fjord to the town of Hornopirén where we’ll spend the night.
