Baptism!

Very unexpected highlight of the day was a young lad, son of one of our colleagues, wanting to be baptised surrounded by his family - us! So, after lunch, we went down to the sea, and he was baptised by his Dad and another minister. They had to walk out quite a long way for it to be deep enough... This was just as he came out of the water. It was sunny, but the wind was bitterly cold.

A good day. Some of us skived off the afternoon seminars and walked into the town of Umag, and then came back on a little land train.

Gratefuls:
- doing my last translation, tonight, at a very moving Communion service
- having a beer and some Istrian truffle cheese by the sea, in Umag, first time it's felt like a holiday
- all the hugs saying good-bye tonight, it's been a very special week, so grateful we came in the end; almost didn't!
