Escape
It all got the better of me at the point that I arrived back at mom’s having taken the dogs out to find that she had decided that going out with Stewart was better than going with me to the bank to sort out her rent!
The tears just kept on coming.
Finally Cathie came home and after dropping papers off to Ella, shopping for Lou and dropping it off, we finally got on the road to ‘escape’ at 5pm. Nowhere else does it so we’ll as The Lakes.
Being that I had to get back to walk Jodie and put mom’s eye drops in, we were short on time so instead of going to Ryder water we just went to Windermere.
Scout had a good play with a stick swimming a bit. Then a guy came along and got his dog to swim to the end of the pier. Scout was interested in the dog so swam after him then became far more interested in swimming to Cathie when she saw her.
That is the furthest she’s swum so far. :)
Once Cathie was changed sufficiently so I could hand Scout to her, I went off for a swim.
Ahhh! The sun was low and orange, the water calm and dark. My head went under and … ahhhh! Bliss!
I swam out and round the boat. The warmer still water suited me better. It was so lovely!
And that we kept saying driving back. “That was so good!” Not a surprise just an acknowledgment of its healing power.
We also ‘discovered a new ‘insult’!?!…..Heaning Mislet! Hahaha! In actual fact it’s a place name but we thought it sounded more like an insult and will probably have fun using it as such!! Haha!
Ah the beautiful Lakes! :)
