What happened to today? Our first real human ….our neighbor across the bay came over for a chat and catch up on island gossip.  (extra)  And we ate cake.   Actually there aren’t many here and those that are are wondering how to manage certain things on this island as they get old.    ( Humm, this is a familiar topic. ) 
 We avoided the Trump topic altho there’s been big news coverage here!   After he left we decided to light the sauna, even tho we did no work today since we’re leaving tomorrow.  Very beautiful and sunny now.  Relaxed. 
The photos from my walk are ho hum so you get this photo I took for my Dad’s book…a very ancient  (late 1800s?) mirror that came with his parents from Sweden that we’ve had in “the cold room” (the sleeping porch which we don’t heat unless someone’s in there) .    Still documenting things here …who knows how much longer we’ll be here….do you see elephants?   and the back end of Harold the moose?
