Different shapes
I left it a bit late today to take a blip - 11:30 - a last minuter if ever there was one. Just dragged myself out of a long hot bubble bath.
I had a bike ride with my pal Andy earlier in the evening and really struggled - combination of unfitness, recovering from my cold and slow knobbly mud tyres on hard surfaces I think.
At one point we got caught up in a mountain bike race event - all these skinny fit guys whizzing passed me as I puffed up the hill. I nearly caught up with them on the descent though - riding like a Bradley Wiggins they were..
I was lucky there was a fresh bunch of flowers to blipsploit. I can't help thinking that this photo would benefit from a different shape without hard corners. I oftern find that - am I alone in being puzzled at our devotion to the rectangular format for finished photos (and even paintings). Everything is geared around presenting paper based art in a rectangular (or square) format. Why is this? I might experiment with bucking the trend - weird(er) blips may follow!!
