ENT screening at a nursery school in Zanzibar

Children at Kisauni nursery school in Zanzibar recieved a visit from IMPACT's Mobile Ear Clinic this week.

All 64 children had their hearing tested and ears checked. Thankfully none of the children had a serious problem. 8 children were treated 'on the spot' for wax impaction, or provided with medication for an ear infection.

Prevention is so much better than cure. Ear infections are a major cause of acquired hearing loss in the developing world.
