The Vatican Visit

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

We went to visit The Vatican today. Unsurprisingly in the run up to Easter, it was busy so it was a slow meander. Opulent doesn’t even come close to describing it - So. Much. Art. I think my favourite part was the Gallery of Maps which maps the Italian peninsula in frescoes and is 120 m long. I much prefer paintings without people!

We had been in the go since early and had done a lot of walking so we took a couple of hours before dinner to chill. The Prince is choked with the cold so we’ve been heading back to the apartment after dinner and being VERY sensible! I am going to ensure he is doped up with paracetamol all day tomorrow!
