Pretty in Pink

A complete contrast to yesterday as regards the weather, with it being grey and drizzly all day long. And no exciting trips to stately homes or airports either. Today has been all about shopping with visits to M&S for the main shop, the new Lidl just to see what was there and Sainsbury’s for all the bits we couldn’t get from the other two shops!
To be honest, we won’t be rushing back to Lidl anytime soon. Not only is it awkward to get to in Kendal, but the car park is not very well laid out, which made parking more complicated than it should have been. All that could have been forgiven if they had a vast range of well priced goodies in store, but we weren’t really impressed by what was on offer. I think we’ll stick to Aldi as our German supermarket of choice.
These flowers from Sainsbury’s did, at least, provide a splash of colour in an otherwise monochrome day. They were labelled as a “Pink and Pearl” bouquet and I think we can agree there have been no breaches of the Trades Description Act here!
