Oh What a Day
Thanks for all the good wishes and support you've sent my way, but I got the call last night that the scheduled surgery wouldn't be performed this morning because of the surgeon's concerns with the results of my pre-operative bloodwork. I met with my primary care physician this morning and we have a plan to address the concerns with my transplant team and the specialists that are part of the treatment network. Not totally unexpected but disappointing just the same.
To clear my head and get some fresh air I headed out to a state park I like that, now that the Spring Break crowds are gone, would give me a chance to leisurely wander with a camera. That was the plan but about halfway there - thumpity, thump, bump, bump, bump ... a flat tire along a stretch of road with few chances to pull off. Once I was able to pull into a town beach parking lot, I decided against changing the tire on my own, called AAA and an hour later was on my way. Before I left I took a quick snap of the beach so at least I wouldn't go home empty handed.
Thanks again folks .... and the adventure, though sometimes a bit more boring might be a nice change, continues.
