Wednesday: Community Painting

I had a full day out today, in Bella Vista, about two hours south of Belmopan.  My colleague and I were visiting refugee communities with United Nations colleagues.  It was fascinating and incredibly moving - we heard from refugees and asylum seekers from El Salvador, Honduras and, to a lesser extent, Guatemala.  

Apart from sessions with the refugees, we visited a couple of their small enterprises, and helped paint a bench.  

All in all, a fascinating day.  I’ve added an extra, which I just loved (but is less representative of the day).
