It’s drizzling again as I head to the Earlston charging place. The drizzle continues all the way home.
I hang Emily’s landscape in the hall before moving outside to get the veg store ready for Boron coming tomorrow. The insulation ends up stored in the caravan.
After lunch, the sun comes out briefly making weeding an attractive option. I start on the potato bed, the dockens coming out quite smoothly.
Bus from Penicuik to town, where I hang out with Sath in the SkyScanner lobby until Douglas lets us in. Chris, our speaker, arrives in good time and we get ready for folk to arrive.
The pizza is late, but excellent - and we get started not much behind schedule. It’s an interesting talk, with maybe more content than could fit in the hour.
Chris starts with a timeline of agile advances, marked by the publication of significant books. In a lovely gesture he cites our book Discovery as the marker for BDD (although Gojko’s Specification By Example would probably have been more appropriate).
A quick pint with Mike M, Sath, Chris M, Vinnie, and Gavin, then home to bed.
