Thriving on Chaos
Angie in Ulm all day. Ulm has the highest church spire in the world and the site of one of Nogbads successess. So left to manage the ranch. Manage? What happened to all the management courses of the '80's and three, leather bound, time management folders? Courses from SAS, Coverdale I + II "Management of Change", personally signed copy of Tom Peter's "Thriving on Chaos" as well as "In Search of Excellence", Woodcock's "The Unblocked Manager", Bernstein's "Against the Gods" or even Harari's "Leapfrogging the Competition". Not a nano trace to be recalled in to this limed up brain.
Chaos and I couldn't cope and made worse by a friend arriving unannounced in his Porsche 911 Targa, a pure (but very friendly & chatty) stranger with her two children & dog suddenly standing at the front door having got out of their cabriolet (OK "only" a Peugeot), the chimney sweep wanting to come (postponed until tomorrow), the horse stables to be mucked out, the dogs walked, several calls from Ulm asking for the length of horse reins, bathroom basin etc, and then remembering the cistern emptying company had forgotten to come to empty our cistern before tomorrows official inspection. Panic phone calls & they then arrived late afternoon.
All I wanted to do today was inspect the bees & start work on the vegetable garden. Neither goal achieved, total failure. Time to get the course notes and signed books out and seriously consider a sex change; they say women are the better "multi-taskers".
Oh well at least 4m³ of muck Luna can't roll in has been disposed of.
