Balrossie window

rescued from a now demolished former sailors orphan home funded by Glasgow shipping interests...the three yachts shown in vignettes were owned by the family of J&P Coats the Paisley thread company.
The schooner "Gleniffer" was built by D&W Henderson of Glasgow in 1889 and twice in 1902 clocked 16 knots over 100 mile courses off Ireland and the Hebrides
The window is community owned and is in the Cargill Hall cafe in Kilmacolm
