It's Flower Friday

Yup...it's FF but once again there's no flowers around here. Much of the snow is gone but the temperature is below freezing and there's a 30mph (48kph) wind blowing the cold around.  Just nasty.....but at least the sun is shining............so Bats it is.

This is a Mountain Fruit Bat (Rousettus lanosus); this one and its compatriots reside at the zoo in Milwaukee but they are native to the mountains of central Africa....Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.  They are large bats with a wing span of 2 to 3 feet (.6-.9m).
