Gosford is always a pleasant place for a short walk round the lakes and through the woods especially at daffodil time.  A couple of ducks and geese were on the lake and it will not be long before there are ducklings and goslings too.  There was no sign of swans or herons today but we watched two cormorants drying their outstretched wings high up in a tree and heard many birds including a woodpecker drumming on a tree.
