Wash out

It was wet when we left Kyoto, and wet when got to Kanazawa. We're now lying on our futon beds, wearing our hotel pyjamas, and it's still pouring outside. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

The good news is that hotels and guesthouses let you borrow their big umbrellas here, and everything in Kanazawa had been a walk away so we didn't get soaked.

French pastries for breakfast, bento box lunch on the train, and a hipster dinner this evening. We're being spoiled.

This and the extra are the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art. The extra is a surprising room in the centre of the building with an opening in the ceiling that let in the rain!
