Another Tulip, but this time Backlit by Sunshine

Bank holidays... just don't go anywhere on bank holidays... and in fairness, on super sunny days like these, why would you? A day spent on a little bit of DIY and a little bit of gardening, and a little bit of beer o'clock feet up on the patio.

We did go for an afternoon walk, but we were defeated by cows... Janet's not entirely fond of cows unless there's a sturdy fence between them and her, and these were fresh out onto the grass today; bold, inquisitive and eager to run to you...

...which was fun, because a bunch of young teens were trying to get through the field with their bikes! Not knowing how to approach the cows they'd really set them off with their panicked yelling! Neither cows nor lads were at all happy to share the field...

...in the end I stepped in to make a safe space for them, to get through to the cattle grid. Such a hero... Anyway, back to the garden for a bit more relaxation and gosh, wouldn't you know it, beer o"clock again. In the garden this purple tulip was catching the afternoon sunshine...

What a way to spend easter... still could be worse eh.
