Adel

Was pleased that a roofer called round this morning to fix a small ( but hard to reach) cosmetic job on the eaves of my roof, all done in 90 minutes.
It did mean that the walk Elaine and l had planned was postponed.
So we caught the bus to Adel and walked through the churchyard to visit YorkGate, me as a guest instead of a volunteer.
We had cheese and herb scones with cream cheese and chutney for a light lunch.
Plenty of blip opportunities but l chose St John’s as when we walked past we could hear the church choir practising before the 2 pm service: a beautiful sound.
I have blipped here before but this church first opened in 1150 and it never fails to impress.
