'Good Friday' walk in the sunshine

Hasn't it been a lovely day? Ann forgot it was the 'Easter Weekend', because Easter isn't really celebrated that much in Scotland she was working this afternoon and again tomorrow. ….........That's what happens when you work in hospitality or retail?


Anyway, this morning the sun was shining and the sky was blue, so off we went on a big long walk up East & West Craiglockhart Hills. Walked for 5 miles and trekked up two hills, which took us almost 2 hours.


Ann went to work this afternoon and I just snoozed in my bed. Ann was on her feet for four hours this afternoon and was pretty tired when she came home, so she just walked me around the block (for toileting purposes) and then said, 'Trixie, I'm going to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine for half an hour'.
Mmmmmmm.................... best laid plans and all that.............. By 6pm it was too cold to sit on the balcony.


................. So she decided instead, that she'd do an online supermarket shop, ready for our visit to St Ives next weekend.................... She's not very good at stuff like that.


She's not very good at using self-service checkouts either, but popped into Waitrose after work, for milk and bread and the queues at the proper checkouts were a mile long, so resorted to doing it 'self service'. My human is seriously NOT HAPPY!!!!' Why is there NO proper customer service these days?


So far, all that's in her basket for her stay in St Ives, is 6 bottles of Prosecco and 6 bottles of white wine. BUT.................... she thinks she's 'cracked' it................... The last time she did an online shop, she thought that once she'd booked her slot and put stuff into the 'basket' that was it?????????????? Yes, I know................. my human isn't really very techie savy. But, it wasn't, because her basket was still full but her order had been cancelled because she hadn't added a card payment within the two hour slot??!! This time she's realised she has until 8.30pm to pay for her order, BUT she has until 11pm on 16th April to add/delete/cancel to her order.


Obviously she will be adding some food to her 12 bottles of wine............ but if she can't work out how to do that.................. at least there should be 12 bottles of wine, delivered to our St Ives home on Monday 17th April??!!
