Steps of power

I was in town today for a service at the cathedral and walking back to the station walked down one of the famous streets, now occupied by private clinics and the like. It was once home to the rich and famous and I noticed this one for the first time. Apparently Gladstone, four times Prime Minister was born in this house in 1809.
