Parking Fit For Royalty

I apologise for today's blip as it's not exactly most exciting of images - a shot of the car park at The King and Queen (a.k.a The King and Kven) in West Malling where we always stop for our Friday evening pint after I pick up my brother from the station but it does signal the start of our weekend.
The atmosphere is always lively on a Friday night and there is usually a plethora of drinkers' friendly guest hostelry hounds of all shapes and sizes who despite the hubbub are always remarkably well behaved and seem to thoroughly enjoy being fussed over by the other patrons and the staff.
Our village had a bit of claim to fame this week as it was visited by none other than Ed Sheeran when he dined at The Hengist restaurant in the High Street - a smiling selfie with the staff published as proof in our local paper, the Kent Messenger. Apparently he's been filming a video a few miles away at The Historic Dockyard in Chatham ahead of the release of his new album, Subtract.
The paper also reliably informed its readership that the singer has been spotted several times in the county over the last two or three years including at Dungeness where the landlord of The Britannia Inn said "It's not the sort of place you expect to see someone, so when you do it can raise eyebrows but Ed Sheeran came in unrecognised for four visits. On the surface he's got this scruffy ginger face and one of those faces that blends in". Bit harsh!
