Turkey in the Snow
Some people have brightly colored eggs for Easter, I have a brightly colored turkey! The blue head means he's happy. Turkey's heads actually change color with their moods. They will get very red when angry or upset. Saturday before Easter was the time to color the Easter eggs to leave for the Easter Bunny to hide. It was the only time of the year when we bought white eggs. Grandma would boil a dozen or more eggs in the morning and we would dye them in the afternoon. Easter egg hunting was done on Sunday, before we got dressed up in our Easter finery for church. We ate egg salad for days after!
Gift#98: a brightly colored visitor.
