Ronnie

…is one of the ducklings from eggs that our neighbours incubated and hatched. The eggs came from our resident duck, Dingle, and from a donor. The donor egg became Ronnie’s brother, Reggie (although Ronnie and Reggie could be girlies).

Dingle was bought as a companion for Ducky, who was born during the first lockdown, and collectively named by the children. Having been inseparable for a year or so, Ducky and Dingle parted when Ducky fell in love with a rogue duck from down the road. Jackson was bought to mend Dingle’s heart, but was recently seen off by the fox! Poor Dingle has a new friend now, and Ronnie and Reggie to look after.

Apart from a run this morning and a bit of grass cutting, it has been a lazy day for me.

My mum has her birthday today - 77 years young.
