Stafford Passion Play
We followed the progress of this passion play around the centre of Stafford, with a crowd that grew from maybe a couple of hundred people initially to many more by the crucifixion scene. The final post-resurrection scene took place in a church (repeated twice to accommodate the crowds). There were plenty of topical references, even some humour, but overall a very moving experience. It was performed by Saltmine, a professional Christian theatre company, with extra local amateur actors. A fantastic way to bring Easter alive.
