Sams Last Visits

Known on Facebook as Fat Dog Sam a Jack Russel and his owner have collected funds and placed flowers at the graves of the aircrew that perished defending this country in WWII for some 14 years.Today Sams ashes left York (Clifford Tower) in a WWII Jeep followed by Motorcycles and Scooters. He came to Pocklington Airfield where a few word were said at the memorial to those of 102 squadron who were based here. A small number the went to St Catherines at Barmby Moor at the other end of the runway where there is a large War Graves section to be layed to rest among the men he had so often visited. A grand tribute the little fellow.
