Orla & Conor

Low Row to Reeth via Langthwaite

Possibly the longest walk we have done as a family so far and in beautiful sunshine most of the way. Started with a climb over the Reeth Moors, then down into Arkengarthdale. Quick summary of the walk:

- Having to turn back from one route due to a waterlogged field.
- Noting the grandeur of the churches in Langthwaite.
- Reading about the history of lead mining in the area.
- Really fantastic riverside scenery along Arkle Beck.
- Orla's really sore toes due to her boots being too small.
- Dad having to run to catch the only bus from Reeth back to Low Row.
- Well deserved ice cream in Reeth.
- We all got slightly sunburned.
