Why So Cross

So, you’re accused
Of getting up on the wrong side of the bed
But you’re excused -
Maybe you just need to be fed!
Not amused?
You nurse “Why Me?” thoughts all day in your head –
Just an everyday accumulation -
But heed!  It’s a death and life situation.
You just have the wrong punctuation!

Why So, Cross

The Lord and Savior’s death
Precedes the giving of life!
Rooted are we in everyday grist
We lose sight of the Cross’s relief.
Tis only after Christ’s death
We can shake off all spiritual rife.
Find the harmony designed by the Lord.
Immerse yourself in The Word!

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
