RIP Kevin, I will miss you

Kevin passed away during the afternoon of the 6th April 2023.

I'm doing okay, with support from family and friends, and today felt ready to create a picture in Kevin's style.

Kevin and I did most of our grieving together last year, after we were told there was nothing more that could be done for him. So my main feeling at the moment is relief that Kevin is no longer suffering, as he had been mentally, as well as physically, for the last four months.

As Kevin had signed up to the UCL/CR UK PEACE (Posthumous Evaluation of Advanced Cancer Environment) study, his body will be taken to London as soon as the death certificate has been signed off by the coroner. Once back at the local undertakers, Kevin will have a direct cremation only, as he did not want a funeral. Instead, we will celebrate his life at a gathering of family and friends in May. I will then travel up to the Lake District, and scatter his ashes in his favourite locations.
