Plantation Place
I walk past this building frequently and as all buildings in the city of London it has some piece of history.......according to Wikipedia it was previously 'Plantation House', and was once the world's recognised centre of the tea trade.
Constructed in 2004, the building is 68 m high and was built on the remains of the old Roman colony of Londinium, burned down by Boudica in AD 60. A hoard of gold coins from the 2nd century were found on the site.
The complex contains almost 3,000 m² of roof gardens, offering views of London's financial district. In September 2004, these roof gardens were made open to the public as part of the Open House London weekend.
I sure would like to go up on the roof and take pictures of the view.
