Today’s walk
Today’s walk was our most strenuous this trip. Just over 7 miles and took us a few minutes shy of four hours. The highest point was 4,692 feet and the lowest 3,540 feet and there was lots of climbing up and down the rocky steps. We started in Chipude and walked to Igualero where we saw this lady carrying all the beautiful wild flowers, presumably for food for the sheep but they looked as though they were quite capable of getting their own supply, see extra, number two where you can just see her face and glove. The first extra is a clouded sulphur butterfly, I believe and the third extra is one of the many floral scenes we encountered. There were bees and butterflies in abundance and a constant chorus of birdsong. We only encountered two other walkers. The day was mainly dull and we had a few spots of rain. I rounded off the afternoon with 20 lengths of the pool.
