Waiting for Aeroplanes

Dropped Gs Thursday afternoon student home after his lesson... he lives in Mirdif which is literally on the flight path, and I've only ever been at this place in the night. I offered to drop him home because I wanted to blip a plane coming in to land.

So, first one that flew over wasn't an Emirates aircraft... Shabnam (standing here with G) said, "oh don't worry, there's a plane every two minutes." She's right... as it gets later in the evening, they are even more frequent; often one Emirates flight after another. I only waited till 3 - then it was enough to keep two people waiting.

We got treated to coffee and cake in a very smart café nearby and a long chat and catch up. A very pleasant start to the weekend.

There is a friend coming to stay for a week next week, so spent some time creating space... and still unpacking some things! There's nothing like having a guest to sort your house out.
