Geek Out

At a brilliant event this evening - the Money for Life Challenge UK Final. Teams of young people have been creating their own financial education projects, which I've been involved in, with the winners from each nation going through to the London final.

It was fab but quite nerve wracking for the teams of young people as they had to present their projects live to the audience. I'm totally thrilled to say the Scottish team from John Wheatley College came second - which was even more of an achievement because originally there was no "second" category! They so impressed the judges, it was created to recognise them. So delighted - they have worked so hard on their project about payday lenders, they really deserved the accolades they got.

I also got an extra thrill - a very geeky one - as the event was held at the London Film Museum, where Stormtroopers roam the halls...
