Hill of Tarvit Beseiged by Easter Egg Hunters.

Hunting for Easter Eggs is something of a tradition at NTS properties. The grounds are besieged with children and adults trying to solve fiendish clues to claim their chocolate prize.

Of course, they all succeed.  Many more volunteers and NTS staff are required to make sure that everything runs smoothly. Almost.

Pat and I are guiding in the House.  The ‘story’ has been revised and I find myself having to give the introduction to the visitors on a number of occasions.

In normal times, the introduction story is given by the NTS staff  at the entrance.

All goes reasonably well.  Many visitors ask searching questions, about the collections and art objects. Pat gives a Chinese couple an erudite explanation on the number of toes on bronze dragon sculptures which surprise and delight them.

Eventually the day is finished. Everyone has survived, tired and happy.  We were even given Easter Eggs!
