Full Moon

A heavily cropped image of the full moon. Not very sharp - I have a cheap tripod which when teamed with my telephoto lens probably wobbles a bit.

The April full moon in North America is know as the Pink Moon from the pink flowers - phlox - which bloom at this time of the year. On this side of the Atlantic the old English name was the Egg Moon and in Europe it is commonly known as the Paschal moon as it is used to calculate the date for Easter
