The lakes!

We made it, so far
it hasn't even rained yet!
I'm sure that's coming.

Here we are in the lake district.  Easy journey.  We were going against the traffic really.  It was busy getting packed up and we hadn't slept well, Ben's bloods had been low and weird and I was generally fretting about them.  Still, we're here now, it's the most glorious setting.  A beautiful cottage in the middle of nowhere.  It's a bit higgledy piggledy inside and the wifi may not stand up to our teenagers but overall it feels lovely to be out in the fresh air and away from the bustle.  Leo has raced around the garden, clearly sniffing all the sniffs (I've seen rabbits but I don't think he has yet).  We had a walk along the lane and he saw a shire horse (he whimpered) and a field of lambs (he barked, so I spent a useful few minutes talking to him about 'sheep bothering'). Ben has been full on but it's nearly bedtime and hopefully tomorrow will be more settled.
