Mystery skeleton

I was hoping that an eagle would be feasting on the carcass on the beach today, but no luck. I stopped on my way home from my walk to have a look at the carcass. Not a clue what it is. I'll have to show this and the extras to G when he comes in to see if he has any ideas about what it might be.The black bits among the fur confused me as well as the shape of the bones. Not much left for any hungry critter to enjoy. Carcasses fascinate me, seeing the insides of anything that used to be alive. Hope anyone looking at this isn't squeamish! 
Decent weather for a good walk down Xwaaqw'um, cloudy, just a sprinkle of rain.
