Mayfly

Day 4 of the Nature Workshop saw three of us head over to Loweswater and Holme Wood. We had hoped to see Mayfly among other things, but the weather has turned cold - in fact we got caught in a Hail Storm at one point.

However I noticed a tiny insect clinging to a reed and stopped for a minute or 10 to attempt some shots. I upped the ISO, used a borrowed reflector (one for the shopping list) and some fill-in flash with the macro lens to achieve this shot.

During the review session I was told that this is indeed a Mayfly - so objective achieved.
