Kyoto

Today we traveled by Shinkansen (a.k.a. the bullet train) from Tokyo to Kyoto. The bullet trains are excellent, if only we had such trains in Europe. On arrival we had a walk around the Nijo Castle, which was a short walk from our hotel. The sun, and the cherry blossom, were out in full force.
