Fair Snape Fell

It was the first day of competition at the JK; a sprint race at Lancaster University. A sprint race is quite short (2.8 K) with lots of controls and changes of direction in the campus. It was sunny and quite warm so ideal conditions. After we went south to the Forest of Bowland and went up Fair Snape Fell, a new Marilyn. It was dry underfoot apart from the last 25 or so meters at the top that were disgustingly wet. The views were great over to Eryri (Snowdonia) and also the Isle of Man (Ellan Vannin). It was also the first true shorts day of the year for hillwalking. The blip is the large cairn on the edge of the hill (not the summit) with Eryri in the background, and the extra the view towards the Isle of Man.
