True emergency
Went to camera club meeting last night, and driving back noticed that my headlights didn't seem quite right. Drove into the garage at home, checked them, and sure enough, one of the bulbs had blown.
Completely forgot about it until late this afternoon. An emergency trip down to Nissan to get the bulb replaced, so we can take our trip to the Grampians on Monday with a clear conscience. Seeing that it gets dark very early these days, we are surely going to be driving in the dark - and with a wonky headlight, we'd be defected sure as eggs are eggs.
I thought I'd get a blip on our main road, but you know what, it is truly ugly. We have some grand old Victorian terraced shops - the top half is fine, but the bottom half has been spoilt with indiscriminate, badly designed signage, totally inappropriate for the style of architecture.
So - I wandered along the shops while I was waiting for the car, and came across a fine chocolate shop. Went in, bought an assemblage - I don't know what else you can call it. The official name is Hazelnut Heaven Petit Gateau. But it looks utterly chocolately scrumptiously wonderful, and we shall share it for our dinner tonight. If you are in Adelaide, it's from Steven ter Horst, on Unley Road. Well worth a visit.
